Join us in Turning on the Tap and much more in Thailand
In 2012, City Bible Church and Cafe Agora partnered with Bright Hope World (www.brighthopeworld.com) to bring clean water into villages of Kraw lor Bur and Krey mo Kee in Northern Thailand.
In 2013 a preschool was built in Krey mo Kee village. Working with Integrated Tribal Development Program ( itdp.webs.com) this was just be the beginning of a long-term partnership bringing sanitation, health, education and faith to this region from which we get our La Mai coffee (www.lamai.co.nz). Not only does this provide hope to these tribal people but will empower them to say "no" to child trafficking.
In February 2014 a second preschool was built in Kraw Lor Bur and in May 2014 the preschool at Krey mo Kee was finally opened with it's new teacher Apaporn. A team of 20 kiwis are going back to Krey mo Kee in February 2016 to add an additional classroom and to further develop sanitation.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The focus for now is funding these two preschools and returning to further develop clean water supplies, sanitation and school extensions in February 2016.
